Frequently Asked Questions

How far in advance should we book our wedding photography?

To secure your date, it’s best to book 6–12 months in advance—especially for peak wedding season. However, feel free to reach out for last-minute availability!

Can we meet or have a call before booking?

Yes, of course! I offer free consultations over Zoom or in-person. It’s a great time to ask questions, hear a few of my bad jokes and funny stories, and most importantly—tell me all about you both and your plans for the big day.

How long does it take to receive our full gallery?

You’ll receive a sneak-peek gallery within 24-48 hours. The full, edited gallery is delivered within 4–6 weeks of your wedding.

Do you travel for weddings?

Yes! I’m based in Edinburgh (originally from Glasgow—West is Best!) and I’m more than happy to travel across Scotland and beyond. Travel costs are already included in all of my packages, unless your wedding is far north—beyond Inverness or to places like the Isle of Skye—where an additional charge may apply to cover extended travel or accommodation.

What style of photography do you offer?

I specialise in relaxed, documentary-style photography with natural posing and storytelling. My goal is to capture genuine moments without awkward staging.

Are your packages flexible?

Of course! While my three packages suit most couples, I’m always happy to tailor things to suit your day—whether that’s adjusting the coverage, adding extra hours, prints, or including a beautiful album. I also shoot film, so if you're after a more nostalgic or artistic feel, we can explore different styles of photography too. If you don’t ask you don’t get!

Do you offer engagement or pre-wedding shoots?

Yes – engagement sessions are available as standalone bookings or included in select packages. It’s a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera before the big day.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes, I ask for a 20% non-refundable booking fee to secure your date. The remaining balance is split into two 40% payments, depending on how far away your wedding is. The final payment is due no later than 30 days before your big day. I’ll keep it simple and guide you through each step—no stress!

What happens if you’re ill or unable to attend?

In the very unlikely event I can’t attend due to an emergency, I have a trusted network of professional photographers I can call on to step in—so you’ll always be covered. If, for any reason, no coverage can be arranged, a full refund will be provided.

How do we book you?

Simple! Just fill in the contact form or email me directly with your wedding date and location. I’ll confirm availability and send over a booking proposal.
